The Exemptions and Cases Pending Duties Department

The Exemptions and Cases Pending Duties Department Functions:

  1. Supervising the implementation of legislation that grants exemptions to certain entities, and receiving and preparing related correspondence.
  2. Proposing the necessary conditions to prevent exemptions, and specifying the required documents to obtain the exemption.
  3. Identifying the authority's requirements for facilities, roads, and customs control areas in the establishment projects of zones or free markets.
  4. Establishing the foundations and rules related to the entry and exit of goods from free zones and markets, and their transfer from one zone or market to another.
  5. Proposing instructions and decisions related to the temporary admission status in accordance with the provisions of the law and relevant international agreements.
  6. Receiving and studying importers' requests for temporary admission, and taking appropriate action regarding them.
  7. Receiving and studying requests for importation for the purpose of re-export.
  8. Receiving and studying requests for temporary export, and taking appropriate action regarding them.
  9. Proposing principles, rules, and regulations related to the licensing of warehouses as one of the suspended conditions for customs duties.
  10. Receiving and studying applications for licensing customs warehouses, according to the procedures followed, and making recommendations regarding them.
  11. Proposing instructions and decisions related to transit goods through the country's territory in accordance with the provisions of the law and relevant international agreements.
  12. Studying applications regarding the management of goods on designated routes according to transit conditions and making recommendations regarding them.
