The " The National Committee for the System of Customs Clearance and Cross-Border Trade Facilitation " is responsible for following up and facilitating government procedures related to trade exchange operations between the State and all countries of the world, by working to simplify customs procedures and non-customs restrictions and requirements at ports.
The committee, which was formed by Cabinet Decision No. 19 of 2020 to amend Resolution No. 36 of 2014 regarding the establishment of the National Committee for the Customs Clearance System, consists of the Chairman of the Committee (Assistant Chairman of the General Authority of Customs), and the membership of a representative from each of the following entities:
- Ministry of Interior.
- The Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
- Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
- Ministry of Public Health.
- The General Authority of Customs.
- The General Organization for Standardization.
- Communications Regulatory Authority.
- The General Tax Authority.
- Qatar Petroleum.
- Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- The Qatari Ports Management Company.
- Qatar Airways Company.
